Originally "Tatra tea" has its origins in the Tatras.
The Tatras are part of the Carpathian Mountains in Eastern Europe, and not so long ago people there believed that there was a special herb for every illness. The ingredients for "healing potions" were always simple; hot water was prepared with honey, garlic, tallow and alcohol.
This is also the case with today's Tatratea liqueur; black tea from India, oak chips and selected herbs and spices are used.
Apple & pear tea liqueur is based on traditionally produced Slovak tea, which is refined with apple and pear aroma. This liqueur goes through a complex maceration and is then bottled in red bottles with an alcohol content of 67%. The water used comes from the Tatras.
Aroma: Fruity from ripe pears and apples, apple strudel.
Taste: Winter spices like cinnamon and vanilla, ripe apples, pears, baked apples, caramel.
