The production of Réma Martin VSOP involves a thorough process that involves the double distillation of the wine on yeast in copper stills, which increases its complexity. The distillate is then matured in French oak barrels, to which additional taste and characteristic elements contribute. For the VSOP category, it requires the youngest eau-de-vie in the blend to be barrel-aged for at least four years, although Rémy Martin often exceeds this minimum, resulting in a richer and more refined product.
