Oban Little Bay is ideal for those looking for a complex and balanced whiskey with a hint of the sea. Compared to the classic Oban 14-year-old whisky, Little Bay offers more fruity and sweet notes, making it an interesting alternative.
Oban Little Bay is produced from selected small batches of the best single malt whiskey from Oban and matured in small oak casks, which increases the contact of the whiskey with the wood and enriches its flavor profile. This aging process is inspired by the success of other brands such as Laphroaig Quarter Cask.
Aroma : The aroma is rich and malty, with notes of dried apple, prunes, caramel, honey and oak. It has a balanced character between sweet and spicy elements.
Taste : On the tongue it is expressive with notes of roasted malt, green apple, dried apricots, salt, chocolate and orange peel. In the mid-palate, stronger spices such as cloves and oak appear, while the sweet dried fruit remains the base.
Aftertaste : The aftertaste is medium long, slightly sour and spicy, with notes of oak and light cinnamon.
