The skilled craftsmen at the Nikka Distillery are simply geniuses. They began to produce gin, similar to whiskey, by the so-called "Coffey" distillation, the origin of which goes back to distant Scotland. The basis of gin is a distillate from a mixture of barley and corn. Subsequently, botanicals are added, but not just any. They are exclusively plants growing in Japan - amanatsa, kabos, yuzu, or sansho pepper. Pleasant pungent hints of Japanese Sansho pepper can be felt on the surface. Aroma and taste: creamy lemon with subtle oily elements combines with a tropical fruit sweetness that is perfectly balanced by a spicy start, the body is dominated by juniper and fennel.
