Malecon Rare Proof 2006 is an excellent 13-year-old rum originating from Panama. After its distillation in 2006, it was aged in specially selected oak barrels, which gave it a delicate taste profile. Cuban rum master Francisco Fernandez supervised its maturation.
Aroma: Caramel, exotic fruits, tobacco leaves, sweet spices. After a while in the glass, aromas of sweet coffee emerge along with roasted and caramelized nuts. There are also hints of herbal aromas in the background.
Taste: Pleasantly sweet, warm. Vanilla following caramel aromas, roasted coffee
Finish: Slightly caramelized, concentrated, a pinch of sea salt
