The 12-year-old Macallan Triple Cask is part of the Triple Cask Matured offering; a series of single malt whiskeys made in a triple combination of maturation in European and American casks (European casks, American sherry casks and American bourbon casks). This complex combination of oak casks gives the whiskey an exceptionally smooth and delicate character, full of citrus fruits, vanilla and fresh oak.
Smell: perfectly matched sweet notes of vanilla with oak wood and undertones of sweet baked apples.
Taste: vanilla, caramel, baked toast, caramelized apples and pears, spiciness of oak wood.
Finish: long, spicy.
