Lagler Gruner Veltliner Steinporz Smaragd from the Wachau region of Austria is an excellent white wine known for its intensity and elegance. This wine is classified as Smaragd, which is the highest quality in the Wachau system and indicates the rich, full-bodied and riper styles of Grüner Veltliner.

Lagler 2020 Steinporz Smaragd is produced on steep terraces above the river Danube, which are ideal for the cultivation of Grüner Veltliner. The vineyards are characterized by their minerals and calcareous soils, which will contribute to the mineral complexity of the wine. The wine offers rich fruit notes such as ripe apricots, white peaches and some citrus, along with spicy and herbal hints typical of this variety.

The wine has high acidity and a smooth texture with a long and impressive aftertaste. It is an excellent wine to drink now, but it also has the potential to age in the cellar, where it can develop even more complexity.
