Rum named after a certain type of wooden sailing ship that was used in the prohibition era to smuggle rum from the Caribbean to the US. It is a blend of rums, where the youngest is 12 years old. It is made from the best, hand-worked sugar cane in small batches. Aging takes place in French wine barrels.
It has a distinctive mahogany color. It is balanced in taste and can be smelled mainly of sweet notes of vanilla. The finish will surprise you with a whiff of wood and dried fruit.
