Rum named after a certain type of wooden sailing ship that was used in the prohibition era to smuggle rum from the Caribbean to the US. It is a blend of rums, where the youngest is 23 years old. It is made from the best, hand-worked sugar cane in small batches. Aging takes place in American oak barrels.
It has a distinct amber-copper color. On the nose you can smell dried fruit, tanned wood, honey and caramel. The taste is full and you can smell notes of dried fruit, caramel, almonds and wood.
