Rum named after a certain type of wooden sailing ship that was used in the prohibition era to smuggle rum from the Caribbean to the US. It is a blend of rums where the youngest is 18 years old. It is made from the best, hand-worked sugar cane in small batches. Aging takes place in American and French oak barrels.
On the nose, you can smell a mix of flavors of vanilla, sherry, raisins and caramelized cane sugar. The taste mainly smells of deep vanilla with dried tropical fruits. The finish will surprise you with a whiff of wood and nutmeg.
