Kavalan Distillery in Taiwan was founded in 2005 by TT Lee, president of the Taiwanese food conglomerate King Car Group. His biggest wish was to open his own whiskey distillery in Taiwan.
Kavalan is the name of the Yilan region, which lies southeast of the capital city of Taipei. An important reason for choosing this location is the excellent water quality. In Yilan, plenty of cold spring water flows through Snow Mountain.
This whiskey belongs to the Kavalan Core Series. Aging takes place in selected American oak barrels. The finish is given with whiskey in barrels with port wine.
Color: Amber with red accents.
Aroma: Tropical fruit, coconut, hints of honey and vanilla, sweet notes.
Taste: Sweet, delicate, complex, voluminous.
Finish: Pleasant, long lasting.
