Dictador Aurum is an exclusive Colombian rum, the favorite choice of Dictador's master blender, Hernan Parra. This rum is made by fermenting virgin sugar cane honey, which is then distilled in traditional copper stills. It is then aged for 25 to 35 years in premium bourbon and sherry casks, giving it its unique flavor profile.
Aroma: Complex notes of roasted honey, Colombian coffee, mature oak and vanilla.
Taste: Extremely smooth with hints of spice and oak.
Finish: Long, with notes of spicy chocolate.
When descriptions say “spicy chocolate” or “hints of spice,” they are more likely referring to the subtle bitterness of cocoa and oak barrels, or very slight notes of cinnamon or nutmeg. It is not a sharp or burning spiciness. However, the actual perception of the taste is individual – if you are sensitive to spicy notes, you may perceive them more intensely.
