Chabot established his wine and spirits business in 1828. Based in the rolling hills of Gascony in the village of Labastide d'Armagnac, the family produced the wine needed to distill Armagnac. For over a century, finely crafted Armagnac has remained a well-kept secret, shared among close friends, Gascon locals and French nobility. That was until 1963 and Chabot's first attempt to bring Armagnac from France to the rest of the world. Chabot's major international development took place under the leadership of John Gentzbourger. Brandy has become valued for its excellent quality and distinctive taste. Today, Chabot Armagnac has circled the globe and can be found in 96 countries. It is now the best-selling Armagnac brand in the world. And yet tradition remains a strict priority. Today, every drop of Chabot is still imbued with the brand's intrinsic heritage of rich quality.

It is a blend of carefully matured Armagnacs, which have matured in oak barrels for at least 23-35 years. The unique and originally packaged Armagnac is golden in color and notes of dried plums and almonds can be felt on the nose. The mature, full flavor will enchant you.
