This 12-year-old single malt whiskey is bottled at the Caol Ila distillery. It is defined as a light and fresh whiskey with distinct notes of smoke. Balanced taste with peaty beauty.
The process of making Caol Ila 12-year-old whiskey begins with grinding barley malt and mixing it with water from the peat ponds that are right next to the distillery. This mixture is then fermented and then distilled twice in traditional copper stills, giving the whiskey its characteristic taste.
After distillation, the whiskey is aged for at least 12 years in oak casks, which were often previously used for aging sherry. This long aging allows the whiskey to acquire its rich and complex taste. The bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 43% and are presented in gift boxes.
We recommend serving at room temperature or with an ice cube. Ideal for slow enjoyment.
