This whiskey is a truly unique single malt from Bushmills.
Unique in that it matures for at least sixteen years in three different types of barrels - Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and then in port wine barrels.
From the barrels that originally contained American bourbon, the whiskey acquires the aroma of almonds and honey. Oloroso Sherry casks, on the other hand, give it balance and smoothness.
The final maturation in port barrels gives it a ruby red color and a lingering sweet taste. The result is a complex and fascinating whiskey for demanding connoisseurs.
Bushmills Three Woods impresses with its very distinctive and long-lasting finish.
