Brugal Colección Visionaria Edición 01 is an exclusive limited edition rum that celebrates 135 years of tradition and craftsmanship of the Dominican brand Brugal. Created under the guidance of Maestra Ronera Jassil Villanueva Quintana, this edition represents an innovative approach to rum production through a unique aromatic toasting technique.
Inspiration and Production Process: Edition 01 is inspired by Jassil Villanueva’s personal memories of the Dominican cocoa fields. The production uses virgin European oak barrels that are toasted with Dominican cocoa beans. After the beans are removed, the barrels are filled with rum, which is then aged under the Dominican sun. This technique gives the rum depth and complexity without direct contact with the cocoa beans.
Aroma: Rich aroma of hot chocolate, toasted oak, spices and citrus, balanced by subtle notes of vanilla.
Taste: Sweet notes of vanilla and caramel transition into rich flavors of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and hints of toasted nuts.
Finish: Smooth and long-lasting, with lingering toasted notes
