Baron Gaston Legrand Bas-Armagnac 1964 je výnimočný armagnac, ktorý bol destilovaný v roku 1964 a po päťdesiatich rokoch dozretia bol uzavretý do fľaše v roku 2014.
Tento armagnac pochádza z oblasti Bas-Armagnac, najvyhľadávanejšieho subregiónu pre výrobu tohto exkluzívneho alkoholu.
Vyrába ho rodina Lhéraud, ktorá má dlhú tradíciu v oblasti výroby koňaku a armagnacu, a ktorá prevádzkuje podnik v oblasti Petite ChampagArmagnac.
Tento armagnac je vyrobený z tradičnej zmesi hrozna Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche a Baco Blanc. Po jednorázovej destilácii v tradičnom hrncovom alembiku je armagnac dlhodobo dozrieva v dubových sudoch z Limousin a Monlezun, čo mu dodáva komplexné a bohaté arómy. Počas dozrievania sa postupne riedi slabou zmesou vody a armagnacu (petites eaux), aby sa dosiahla konečná alkoholická sila 40 %.
