The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old is an exceptional single malt Scotch whiskey that combines traditional Scottish techniques with a Caribbean influence. This whiskey is known for its rich and sweet taste, which is the result of a unique maturation process.
The whiskey is made from 100% malted barley and distilled using the traditional method in copper stills. It is aged for 14 years in traditional oak casks and is finished in casks that previously contained Caribbean rum. This combination adds an unmistakable sweetness and depth to the whiskey.
The aroma is rich and sweet, with notes of tropical fruit, caramel, vanilla and honey. The taste is full and creamy, with strong notes of sweet fruit, vanilla, mild spices and hints of oak. Rum casks add subtle notes of brown sugar and tropical fruit. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering notes of fruit, vanilla and soft oak.
