The AH Riise Distillery is located on St. Thomas Island, the American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony.
Around the 1840s, pharmacist Albert Heinrich could not only open a pharmacy, but also produce alcohol. After production, AH Riise Family Reserve is stored in oak barrels personally selected by the Master Distiller using the solera method.
Before the AH Riise Family Reserve was opened to the public, it was reserved exclusively for the heirs and successors of AH Riise.
