Crema de Mezcal is a combination of Miel de Maguey (unfermented roasted agave syrup) and Mezcal San Luis del Rio - double distilled from 100% ripe Espadin agave, made in the original, natural 400-year-old, handmade method. Crema de Mezcal has aromas of roasted maguey with vanilla and pear, creamy almond, apple, coffee, pineapple and a long sweet smoky orange finish. When the five-day maguey roast is uncovered, the honey of some of the sweetest magueys is squeezed out. Ten percent Miel de Maguey is added to ninety percent San Luis del Rio, resulting in an 80-proof Crema de Mezcal.
