Signatory Vintage North British 30yo

Signatory Vintage is an independent bottler founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington. The name "Signator" was derived from the original intention of finding a person who could sign the labels of bottles drawn from a single cask. The first cask to be bottled was the 1968 Glenlivet, which sold quickly long before a suitable taker was found. Signatory currently bottles in three strengths: 43%, 46% Unchillfiltered (UCF) and Cask Strength. To add proof of authenticity to your cask bottlings, the signatory always includes the cask numbers, distillation date, bottling date and number of bottles produced. Signatory Vintage strives to offer the widest possible range of whiskeys, some of which are not even bottled in their own distillery. This allows malt enthusiasts to taste the vast amount of subtle differences that occur between casks. In 1806, the Cambus distillery was founded, which mainly produced grain whiskey. Cambus is a village near Alloa 4 miles east of Stirling. It lies on the river Devon. It was destroyed by fire in 1913, which forced it to close until 1938. Most of the spirit from this distillery was used in blends. It was closed in 1993, but the spirit is still bottled mainly by independent bottlers. This single grain whiskey was distilled in 1991 at Cambus Distillery before being placed in a cask and aged for at least 30 years. It was bottled in 2022 at 51.5% ABV as part of the Signature Vintage Cask Strength Collection. Edition of only 258 bottles.
