This 13 year old whiskey comes from the Glen Elgin distillery, was distilled in 2007 and matured for 13 years in cask number #800246, which previously contained bourbon. Signatory Glen Elgin 2007 is part of Signatory Vintage's Un-Chillfiltered collection, which introduces non-chillfiltered whiskey to the world.
Aroma: bubbly, cream, cereals, leather
Taste: brown sugar, honey, cedar, fresh plum, hints of spicy notes later
Finish: toasted bread, oak
Although Signatory Vintage are not the oldest independent bottlers in Scotland, they have managed to build an extremely good reputation among connoisseurs of quality single malt whisky. They are especially known for their Non-Chillfiltered and Cask Strength editions, which offer the opportunity to taste whiskey in one of its most natural forms. Signator were also one of the first independent bottlers to purchase their own distillery, offering an ever-expanding range of some of the most artisanal whiskeys available on the market.
